Active Status
Let people you message see when you’re online. Turning this off removes your status entirely — it doesn’t stop you seeing theirs.
Usage analytics
Let us see which screens and homes get used, via Google Analytics. Off means no cookie and nothing sent — the app behaves identically either way.
